Monday Inspiration: Apr 15, 2013

Somehow, I managed to relax and be extremely productive this past weekend. I fit in some time with family, chill time with my husband and friend where we vegged out on pizza and watched bad movies, and did an assload of laundry. The weekend ended with a healthy dose of good tv starting with Anthony Bourdain’s Parts Unknown, Mad Men and ending with the season premiere of Veep. I went to sleep a happy girl. 🙂

Let’s get our Monday Inspiration on!

Who says paper should be your canvas? Thomas Lamadieu creates sky art with his doodles. LOVE this.

My favorite thing about logo design is seeing the process. Check out the logo process Disney’s “Wreck-It Ralph” went thru here.

Loving these portraits done by Victor Melamed. What a great style!

Give your eraser a haircut (thanks for sending, Crystal.)!

Need a time waster? Test your brand color knowledge by playing Brandseen (thanks for the heads up, Rahmie!).

I’m still making my way thru this list of fellow designers to follow on Twitter but seems like there are definitely some inspirational accounts to follow.

Can you be inspirational with only five words? Check out Five Words, established by Skye Dwyer and Melissa Lee.

I am OBSESSED with movie title sequences. Watch this documentary showing the changes in movie title sequence typography over the years.

All inspiration should be rooted in fun and laughter. That’s what Bill Hader’s, Stefon, does for me from SNL.

And finally, check out the winning caption and drawing for March’s Caption Contest Drawing. Congrats, Clairee!
