I am still thinking about The Jinx. I’ve been obsessing over it for the last week. I started watching the episodes only recently with my husband and I’ve been scared shitless ever since, just like I was when I finished listening to Serial. My freak outs vary: I may resort to the 10-year-old version of myself where I have to outrun whatever might be under the bed and make it safely to the bathroom, only to yank the shower curtain back to ensure I am in fact alone; the classic sleep with the lights on; check behind all doors and closets when entering a room; and finally, the holding-it-in-game. Very dangerous for girls. I’m on the mend but until I’m fear free, my husband is here to escort me from room to room. ❤ That Robert Durst and his beady shark eyes really did a number on me. Effn cuckoo bananas he is.

Outside of The Jinx, I watched Big Hero 6, too. A friend lent me the movie and I loved it! The graphics are absolutely breathtaking and it made me laugh more than I thought it would. If you guys have a chance, definitely check it out. There are a few tear jerker moments so keep the tissues handy. Although the weekend was spent mainly indoors due to rainy weather, Vee and I hung out outside yesterday and have been covering the sidewalks and driveway with chalk. Here’s hoping there’s a budding artist somewhere inside that little 18-month-old. She’s been talking more and more and FINALLY been saying “muh-mah” regularly. Her vocabulary is growing every day, making the guessing game obsolete in many ways. My husband and I are in awe of this amazing personality she’s developing, too. She really gives a whole new meaning to “inspiration.”

I pulled out my Charley Harper: An Illustrated Life book for Vee over the weekend and decided to see if I could find any prints online and holy crap – so many goods I found, especially the kids’ stuff!

Thanks to my husband for sharing REGGIE MAKES MUSIC, where Reggie Watts (of IFC’s Comedy Bang Bang) drops beats with guest stars dancing/singing/rapping alongside him.

Wish me luck! I’m off to finish my Sketchbook Project (due March 31 – eek!). I’ll be posting a few spreads to share their backstory shortly.
