The first day back from a long weekend is always the hardest. I took an extra day to soak in the sun and spend time with the fam. Hence, the Wednesday Inspiration. Vee was with my parents for half of the weekend so my husband and I spent it eating Blue Apron foods (that you’re lucky to see the pics of, here and here, before we devoured them), sleeping, and watching older seasons of Mad Men on Netflix. I’m going through a very public withdrawal that the show is now over.
The second half of the weekend was spent watching A Goofy Movie (I knooooow. We’re still on that kick – so much so that I’m contemplating being Powerline for Halloween.), visiting the playground, taking walks outside, and browsing the bookstore. It was the kind of outing on a weekend that you hope each summer weekend to be. These last few weeks feel like they’re defining the summer we’re about to embark on. Change is in the air and I’ve got hope that good things will come along with it… and hopefully soften the blow of Vee’s inevitable temper tantrums. Which, by the way, I’m getting a glimpse of and am pretty sure she is going to live up to every bit of being a Terrible Two. On that note, let’s delve in, shall we?
I’m super stoked that I finally gave in and bought the second and third issue of The Great Discontent.
